The Gender and Identity Factors Platform (GIFP) has now launched the GIFP Community of Practice for Member States! The inaugural Community of Practice will gather relevant stakeholders from the governments of various Member States to facilitate learning specific to gender and intersectionality, while bolstering the sharing of lessons, promising practices, and multistakeholder coordination and collaboration, within the gender and CT/PCVE sphere.
The first event within the Community of Practice will be an online webinar discussion, “Foundations of Gender and Counter-Terrorism” on Tuesday, 17 September 2024 from 08:00 – 09:30 EST (New York) / 15:00 – 16:30 GMT+3 (Nairobi). Greater details will be provided to members of the Community of Practice within the homepage.
After logging into the Gender and Identity Factors Platform on Connect & Learn, individuals interested in joining the GIFP Community of Practice for Member States can join by clicking “Request to Join” under the Group tab.
Step #1 – Click on the GIFP Community of Practice for Member States.
Step #2 – Click Request to Join.
*Kindly note that for this initial Community of Practice, participation will be reserved for governmental representatives to facilitate the sharing of practices and policies. The GIFP team recognises the invaluable expertise and perspectives that civil society brings to discussions on gender and CT/PCVE and is working to launch another community of practice that will bring together different interest groups. Please stay tuned for details as we work to expand participation in the months ahead.
