“Resource Spotlight Monday”: Today, the Gender and Identity Factors Platform (GIFP) features “Voices from Kenya and Nigeria: Working with Religious Actors to Prevent Extremism.”
Published by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Chane, this collection of essays explores the challenges and opportunities for policymakers working with religious actors, giving a platform to local perspectives and priorities in order to counter terrorism and prevent/counter violent extremism (CT/PCVE) in Kenya and Nigeria. In particular, a handful of essays argue how the participation of women and women’s-led organisations, as well as civil society leaders and psychologists, is critical to the development and implementation of CT/PCVE initiatives, including in the formation of alliances with religious and political leaders.
