Did you know the Gender and Identity Factors Platform (GIFP) hosts a library?
Publicly accessible, the library contains a growing list of human rights-based resources specific to gender and counter-terrorism and preventing/countering violent extremism (CT/PCVE).
In an effort to promote the library, the GIFP team presents “Resource Spotlight Monday,” in which select resources from the library will be featured. Today, GIFP features a collection of 5 resources in honor of International Women’s Day last week. These resources demonstrate a wide range of researchers and academics, while outlining some of the key concepts critical to understanding gender dynamics within terrorism and violent extremism, as well as the programmes and policies that seek to counter and prevent them.
These resources include:
-
Women and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Interventions.
-
Perspectives on the Future of Women, Gender, & Violent Extremism.
-
Engaging women in countering violent extremism: avoiding instrumentalization and furthering agency.
-
A Man’s World? Exploring the Roles of Women in Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism.
