Misogynistic Terrorism: It Has Always Been Here.

Antisemitism racism, pro-life beliefs, and extreme Christian ideology are acknowledged features of far-right extremism in the United States; less acknowledged is the underpinning element of misogyny. The paper finds that misogyny has always been a part of white far-right extremism, both as a direct driver of violence against women and as an underlying feature of racist supremacy. It suggests that researchers and policy makers have not paid attention to misogyny because they operate in systems that are also gender unequal. A “whole of society” response to misogyny is therefore required.
