A range of recommendations are put forward by participants in an international workshop to improve women’s participation and leadership in PCVE. The recommendations include: CSO engagement to further State level understanding of complexity of violent extremism; to empower women based organizations and civil society organizations to credibly engage with CT and PCVE design and implementation - and thereby improve PCVE and CT; support wider educational initiatives, good governance and democracy, human rights and gender equality; address women’s radicalisation and recruitment to violent extremism; protect women based organizations and women’s human rights defenders; support women victims of violent extremism. It has specific gender sensitive recommendations for policing, communities, media, families, and education initiatives. The resource is available in English, French, Arabic and Russian.
