Research chapters on Pakistan, Indonesia, Balkans, the Far-Right, changes in women’s roles within violent extremism, and a concluding chapter on future considerations. Assessed together they recommend policy makers emphasize gender (not just women) to avoid stereotypes; be context-specific when gendering analysis and goals - including international and digital contexts; acknowledge that while all PCVE and CT actions should be gender-sensitive, some responses will be gender-specific and targeted, such as addressing gender-linked drivers, while others require integrated and holistic approaches; take an intersectional approach to situational analysis and M&E (e.g. disaggregating according to age, gender, and education); be responsive to changes in VE gender ideology and gender roles.
